Legendary Six Samurai Deck Report

I am currently playing the new popular six samurai deck and I am playing it at my advanced tournaments which I play twice a week and i think that the consistency is finally getting much better as i went 4-1 and only lost to X-Sabers but came first due to tie-breakers... So I will start off by showing you the build I used then i will run through the decks i played against.

Monsters

3 Legendary six samurai - Kizan
3 Legendary six samurai - Kageki
3 Kagemusha of the six samurai
1 Grandmaster of the six samurai
1 Hand of the six samurai
1 Great Shogun shien
1 Spirit of the six samurai
1 Shien's squire
1 Morphing jar
-15-

Now I am playing the standard cards like kizan, kageki ect. but I am trying some tech cards like Morphing jar and Great shogun Shien (This is not too much of a tech card but i probably wouldn't run this is the main deck usually because it can  tend to be a dead draw at times) . I have not seen to many builds of this deck that use Spirit but i would strongly recommend it because it is really great because of the 500 boost, the draw you get whenever the monster destroys another by battle and obviously when the monster is going to be destroyed spirit is destroyed instead. Another reason i would recommend this card is because of shien's dojo because while I was playing i found that i opened with dojo a lot and was able to make Shi En first turn with Kageki and kagemusha then used dojo to get spirit and equip it to Shi En making it more of a struggle for my opponent to get rid of.

Morphing jar seemed to be very effective because every samurai player knows that when you start to top deck the game and even the match can go either way. Even though you opponent does draw 5 new cards as well as you do you will most likely be able to capitalize from your new hand and keep advantage.

Now to the spells

Spells

3 Six samurai united
3 Shien's smoke signal
2 Shien's Dojo
1 Book of Moon
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark hole
1 Gateway of the six
1 Reinforcement of the army
1 Giant trunade
-14-

This is pretty much your average spell line-up now with shien's dojo you no longer need to play upstart goblin because with dojo you can now get you final piece of your combo like if you open with a dojo, kageki and a six samurai other than kagemusha you can pull a kagemusha from you deck and make a Shi En or if you start with a Kizan as your only monster you can summon kizan and search for shien's squire and make either a Shi En or a Naturia beast.

Finally to the traps

Traps

2 Solemn warning
2 masukani magatama
2 double-edged sword technique
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Mirror force
1 Torrential tribute
1 Seven tools of the bandit
1 Royal oppression
-11-

Ok, So I currently play 2 magatama's because of the amount of destruction going around like seven tools, warning, solemn and half of the monster effect out there making it very versatile. The rest of the traps are pretty standard except some people might be wondering why I play oppression except most if not all samurai deck will play this because once you have your field set up and royal oppression your opponent will find it very difficult to come back.

Extra Deck

3 Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En
1 Naturia Beast
1 Ally of justice catastor
1 Naturia Barkion
1 Brionac, Dragon of the ice barrier
1 Black rose dragon
2 Stardust dragon
1 Colossal fighter
1 Scrap Dragon
2 Trishula, Dragon of the ice barrier
1 Chimeratech fortress dragon
-15-

Side deck

2 Cloak and dagger
2 Trap hole
2 Nobleman of extermination
2 Effect Veiler
2 Puppet plant
2 Cyber Dragon
2 Nobleman of crossout
1 Neo-spacian Grand Mole
-15-

Im not going to go through the side deck and the extra deck because they should hopefully be self explanatory...

Now as I aforementioned I went 4-1 at locals this is what i played against.

Round 1: Blackwing

Game one I started out with Shi En and Great shogun Shien on the first turn an he didnt really have much to work with but in game two I lost because he got rid of all my monsters with gale and brionac so he won that. It was a very close game in game three but i finished the game with trishula removing his dark armed dragon and attacking for game.
Score: 1-0

Round 2: More Blackwings

Game one was a breeze because I opened up perfectly with 2 united, kagemusha, kageki, dojo and magatama and just controled the entire game. Game two was also easy because i drew 8 of my 9 sided cards which worked perfectly...
Score: 2-0

Round 3: Machina karakuri

I opened horribly game one and he got 2 bureido, burei and a stardust first turn, my only out was to book his stardust and dark hole except he stopped it with solemn and I proceeded to scoop. Game two and three were better when I sided in 7 cards and didn't dead draw they were close games but my oppression saved me in game two and game three was a bit of a struggle but I got out a big field and won
Score: 3-0

Round 4: Gravekeepers

I one game one when i started off with getting out Shi En and equipping it with spirit and he didn't draw a single spy. Game two he one because I kept drawing graveyard or special summoning cards and he had oppression and necrovalley... Game three he used solemn to negate my nobleman of crossout then I played the other one I opened with and made a barkion and he scooped when he saw his next card.
Score: 4-0

Round 5: X-Sabers

He clean swept me both game just drawing really well in game one and he drew nothing but tuners in game two but i couldn't do much either so eventually he drew what he needed and proceeded to win.
Score: 4-1

So that is all for now but I might post how I go at the next tournament this week :D
